Imagine you’re standing at the edge of this spectacular seascape, imagine all the phenomenal creatures living in its depth. The smallest so tiny that we’re struggling to make it out under a microscope, the biggest much larger and more powerful than we can fathom. Imagine these blue shimmering earring creations stuck to some rocks, surrounded by barnacles, in a rock pool that is tinged liquid honey in that golden evening light.

This is a picture taken near Hermanus on South Africa’s Wild Coast, an area I dearly love and where I spent some time in my life. There is no experience so profoundly exciting, captivating and filled with child-like wonder to me than immersing myself in the life of these tidal pools during low tide.
